Envy

[BGmusic: Lazeez by Acoustic Alchemy (guitar instrumentals)]

Quote for the day:

“I call it… bloop bloop.”

- Punchline ng “joke” ni Nathan. :-| Oh man, sabaw forever.

I saw a ghost from my past awhile ago. She was a girl from my high school in Baguio, one year below. I was coming out of Trinoma, and she was on her way in.

Let me tell you, this girl had grown up. The last time I saw her she was just a jeans, t-shirt, ponytail kind of girl. Yes, she was always one of the pretty ones, but not the kind that would make you stop at your tracks and just… watch. Continue reading ‘Envy’

Quote for the day:

“Spiderpig! Spiderpig! Does whatever a spiderpig does…”

- Homer Simpson

I know I said I would be updating last weekend, but something dreadful happened to my laptop last Friday. Basically, my sister killed it. [Actually, I don't know if she did anything to it, but she was the last person who used it so I'm blaming her - bwa ha ha.] It was going all blue-screen-of-death on me, so now it’s at the laptop doctor, [hopefully] getting better. Oh, my poor, beat-up laptop… how I miss you.

So it looks like I survived my hellweek. Yeehaw. This post will basically just update you all on what the heck is going on in my life right now. [READ: BORING POST AHEAD.] Continue reading ‘Karnetion’

Something wicked this way comes

hellweek [hel-wēk] noun

  1. Usually occurs when sadistic professors conspire to schedule deadlines and exams on the same day and/or consecutive days in a week.
  2. A week that is like hell.
  3. Most likely to be the cause of DQ’s tears and tantrums. Next to PMS.
  4. See misery and torment.

Making the Band

[BGmusic: Fans by Kings of Leon]

[EDIT] Props to Utakgago for THIS! ^_^ Thank you for the mention! - Pero pwet talaga I shouldn’t have imported those posts. Haha. [/EDIT]

Quote for the Day:

You pile up enough tomorrows, and you’ll find you are left with nothing but a lot of empty yesterdays.

- Harold Hill, from The Music Man

[In other words, stop procrastinating. Ouch, natamaan ako.]

Everybody dreams of being a rock star [if not everyone, a lot of people do]. Armed with our air guitars and lip-syncing skills, we aspirants often have to content ourselves with rocking out in our bedrooms, our audience: ourselves, in the mirror; strangers on YouTube; stuffed toys; pets; und so weiter.

But yeah, I know that I don’t have a future in rock-starring. For one thing, the instrument I play used to play is the classical violin. Now, I know that the violin is getting more and more popular in rock music, but honestly, there aren’t many song possibilities for the instrument out there.

So, instead of being the rock star, let’s settle on the next best thing… I could always manage a band. Manufacture one, even.

In fact, I’ve already made up my mind on who’s going to be in my brand new rock band. Sure, I’ll have to pull them out of their current careers, but after showing them my oh-so-experienced managerial skills, how can they resist?

Anyway, here they are. My new rock band, who they are, and why I chose them. Hover over the links so you can get a little background on each of my money machines talents.

Meme Time!

[BGmusic: nothing. My dad's sick so he's sleeping in the living room and my door's open so the air can circulate so I can't have music or else he might wake up.]

Wag nang pansinin ang post na ito.

[BGmusic: Pressure Point by The Zutons]

Quote for the Day:

Di bale kung pangit, basta… *ponders* …hindi kami.

-Aries, philosophizing about the importance of beauty

This weekend has been crazy. But I will not blog about my weekend. You know what would make a great post? A post poking fun at enumerating all my past crushes. That would be so fun. But too mean, at least for most of them. And they’d probably read about it, since most of them know about my blog. Pero sayang talaga, they are just there, waiting to be blogged about. So tempting.

In fact, I do not know what I want to blog about. Actually, I do know what I want to blog about. I feel like I have this huge storm cloud looming over my head, and I have no umbrella or raincoat to protect me. But it’s not the kind of thing I would want certain people to read about. So. Yeah.

Sometimes I wish the only people who read this blog were people I didn’t personally know. Knowing that certain people have access to this thing seriously limits the creative process.

Why am I blogging in the first place? [You are procrastinating. You should be studying. Bad girl.]

That’s it, I’m hitting the books. Continue reading ‘Wag nang pansinin ang post na ito.’

n00b: My Bubble - Part One

[BGmusic: ABC by The Pipettes]

Quote for the Day:

Tell me what in the world would I sing for
If I had it all

- If I Had It All, Dave Matthews Band

“So, you’ve all taken 102, right?”

Everyone nods. I try to mask my blank face with an emotion - any emotion - and end up with my bewildered I-didn’t-do-it smile. Fortunately, no-one is looking my direction, and I direct my attention to my notebook. Look busy, look busy. Continue reading ‘n00b: My Bubble - Part One’

Lonerism 101

[BGmusic: Burning Down the House by The Talking Heads]

Quote for the day:

“May barya ka ba? Buo lang kasi pag-ibig ko eh.”

- Charlie, UP student & Socio Nerd

I’m a loner by nature. I know that almost everyone needs time alone, but I need these alone times a lot more. I like being with people, don’t get me wrong. But when I don’t get my space, I get crabby and if people around me don’t watch out, I start biting. Not a nice sight.

Now that I have stopped dorming, and I hardly see the majority of my friends anymore [because most of them are dormers], I have been much more of a lone wolf than usual. Continue reading ‘Lonerism 101′

How Sad.

[BGmusic: Nothing. I choose this silence.]

Quote for the day:

“DI-SAS-TERRRR”

- Christine aka Happy Slip

So it’s Saturday. I was supposed to go to Araneta to watch the UAAP, but no, my brain decided to go all drama queen, so I had to text my friends and tell them, “Sorry, I can’t go, headache.”

UP would have won if I went - I’m lucky. Except my luckiness isn’t effective on myself, only on other people. And not all people. Only some. Okay I’m not really lucky I made that up.

Moving on… since my parents were out doing very important grown-up stuff, and my brother left me for this audition for this music organization at his school, I was left alone with my dog. We did a lot of bonding, but the conversation was a little one-way, and she eventually got tired of me [see picture: someone needs to brush her hair]. Continue reading ‘How Sad.’
