I saw this video a while back. It’s a pretty famous video now, with almost 2 million hits and over 14 thousand comments, so maybe some of you have seen it as well. Now just because I posted it here doesn’t mean I think it’s a must-see. It’s not actually much, just an insecure [and somewhat annoying - sorry mememolly fans] girl wondering whether or not someone thinks she’s special. One may wonder why the video even got that much attention. I did. But I have to admit that her insecurities are more than a little infectious.

In the video, she asks herself:

…[Am] I anybody’s favorite person? I don’t really think I am.

She then jabbers on about her favorite person [this boy, as expected] for a good two minutes, and asks the viewers:

Are you anyone’s favorite person? Who’s your favorite person?

I tried resisting answering her question, but heck, I may as well, seeing as this is sem break, I have nothing much to do, and yes, resistance is futile.

So, am I anyone’s favorite person?

I’ll have to take mememolly’s cue on this one, I don’t think I am. I may be someone’s favorite classmate, someone’s favorite relative, even somebody’s favorite girl, but someone’s favorite person? I think not. Sad, isn’t it?

But I guess that’s one quest [oo-er] everyone has to undertake, unconsciously or otherwise: finding that person [or people, for the especially likable/ambitious] who will think of you as his/her favorite. Call it narcissistic or whatever you want, but it’s true. We’re all KSP that way.

My favorite person? I have to say that I don’t really have an answer to this one.

But just so I can have something to put here, the person I enjoy spending time with the most might be *toooooooot* [yeah, like I'm really going to name names]. We haven’t really hung out that much because we’ve both been super busy last semester, but this person can really crack me up. We’re like carbon copies of each other, not physically, but when it comes to the stuff we find funny and the way we interact with other people. But I guess what I really like about this person is how I’m able to forget about all my problems when we’re together. There are a lot of people out there who really know how to get a girl stressed, but I don’t know, this person’s presence is just really calming.

Sadly, because of all that time of not seeing each other, it’s like we don’t know what to talk about anymore. The last time we saw each other was different. Awkward. Lots of dead air. I hope it was just because we were both really tired from school.

Aaaaaand I’m pretty much certain that I’m not this person’s favorite. [All together now: awwww...]

One day I’ll find my favorite, and I’ll find out if I’m anybody’s favorite. Until then, I’ll have to be content with being someone’s favorite classmate/relative/girl/etc. Which isn’t that bad, actually.
